Product Overview
Published by Schaum. Long out of print, one of a kind Schaum supplemental books printed in 1977. The greatness of Schubert's music lies in its limitless outpouring of spontaneous melodies. His compositions radiate the happiness of his beloved Vienna. He lived in the golden age of music - the romantic era of the nineteenth century. Besides his genius as a composer, he also was a renowned orchestral conductor, concert pianist, and teacher. As a composer, his output was prodigious. His pen moved very swiftly as he created his masterpieces. For example, in his 18th year, he wrote five operas, two symphonies, and 146 songs - fifteen of them in two days. He composed over two hundred and fifty waltzes. In compiling this album, Mr. Schaum has selected and arranged 24 of these rollicking dance tunes to represent all major and minor keys.
