Product Overview

Published by Larice. This book contains eight hymn preludes that are simply beautiful. The flexibility of these arrangements lends ease in completing a prelude in the middle of the number, or continuing through the key transitions to the next section. These endings are notated by the phrase optional ending. Individual organ registrations are uniquely different. For this purpose we have not specified registrations other than designating the Swell keyboard for the accompaniment, and the Great as the solo keyboard. Registration and dynamic contrasts can be achieved by changing keyboards, soloing melody lines, and playing on the same keyboard. Notations have been made to indicate these changes. Whether played as a prelude to invite the spirit, or as a postlude to reaffirm and extend the spirit of the meeting, these organ preludes are simply beautiful and easy to do. This collection of organ prelude arrangements by Larry R. Beebe is based on the following hymns. 1. Abide with Me 'Tis Eventide, with music by Harrison Millard. 2. Jesus Once of Humble Birth, with music by Giacomo Meyerbeer. 3. Beautiful Savior, with music attr. to a Silesian folk song. 4. We Ever Pray for Thee Medley: •(A) We Ever Pray for Thee, with music by H. A. Tuckett; (B) Come, Listen to a Prophet's Voice, with music by Joseph J. Daynes; (C) We Thank Thee, O God, for a Prophet, with music by Caroline Sheridan Norton. 5. Rock of Ages, with music by Thomas Hastings. 6. Brightly Beams Our Father's Mercy, with music by Philip Paul Bliss. 7. Home and Family Medley (A) Home Can Be a Heaven on Earth, with music by W. Herbert Klopfer, used by permission; (B) Oh, What Songs of the Heart, with music by William Clayson; (C) Love at Home, with music by John Hugh McNaughton. 8. Precious Savior, Dear Redeemer, with music by H. R. Palmer.
